My dog can do some disgusting things. He ate some bacon grease and yarfed it up on the couch last week. He ate it. He ran around. He yarfed it up. My cat never does stuff like that. My dog is stinky when he gets wet. He is gross. I was mad at my dog for a long time after that. I realize that he can't help it: he's just a dog. I decided that I would want to keep him even if he yarfed up bacon grease on the couch every Thursday.

In this paper, I want to argue that dogs are worth keeping around even if they are gross. They are good companions. They are almost always happy. They love you no matter what. You are their favorite person because you are the person who gives them food. Dogs are extremely loyal. They are good at scaring away small animals like mice. I believe everyone should have a dog.
