Being white isn’t all that great, you know,
All we got is football games and blow,
3/4ths of the Congress, all arms of the army,
and most of the TV shows
Yeah, it’s tough these days for a straight white guy
Gotta click on a form to inform you of why
I might be jaded or lonesome— if you’re white, then you’re blue
If I’m gonna feel bad, then it’s your problem too
It might be the banks, or the tech billionaires,
the ghosts of AIG, NAFTA, Tony Blair,
but that policy talk leaves me a bit cold,
I’d rather blame the folks who won’t do what they’re told
When I’m back in charge, things are gonna get better,
I’ll fix immigration, food prices, the weather,
Pretty soon we’ll be drinking from goblets of gold
(except for those folks who won’t do what they’re told)
Well, it’s just common sense, yeah, it’s just good business.
I won’t hear any more of your old hissy fits.
Green lawns for the strong, silver stars for the bold
and a camp for those folks who won’t do what they’re told
Well, it’s been thirty years, and now things are the best.
And if you disagree, then you’re under arrest.
Now you’re looking less white than you used to be.
Don’t need no off-white boys in our great country.
