Hi Everyone!
Originally, this week was designated for one-on-one conferences with students. We had a few unexpected bumps in the road, though, so I am going to keep the flexible conference format but make it a full class experience. (Given the snowstorm, this is actually good timing because I know that several students are stuck in the Upper Peninsula/the airport following Spring Break!). On Tuesday, we'll be meeting via Google Meet (see the links below) and I'll reintroduce the Research Proposal and go over last week's homework. Then I'll open it up to questions to make sure that everyone has a workable idea for their project. Later this week, I'll host some extended office hours that you can sign up for if you need additional help. The sign-up sheet is here. These conferences are optional, but students usually do better when they meet with me to discuss their projects. DISCLAIMER: The purpose of these conferences is to talk about your ideas. If you don't have any ideas for your project, I won't just give you a topic during the conference. Coming up with your own ideas is part of the assignment.
